Joydays Cookies Review

In short, the cookies come in a variety of flavors, including chocolate chip, peanut butter, and double chocolate—we tried them all, and honestly thought they were all equally tasty. It was the classic chocolate chip, however, that ultimately won our favorite in a taste test for its uncanny similarity to the classic chewy, chocolate chip cookies that we love.

All of the Joydays cookies in our review tasted just like their unhealthier original versions that we’re used to eating, but we were thrilled to learn that Joydays cookies were higher in protein and fiber, and lacked most of the sugar found in regular cookies.

Joydays Cookies for Weight Loss and Health

Joydays cookies are made with a focus on healthy ingredients and blood sugar management. They are lower in sugar than traditional cookies and contain fiber, which can promote gut health and feelings of fullness. This may be appealing to people with diabetes or those looking for a more balanced treat.

The Joydays cookies website claims that they “worked with top dietitians, endocrinologists and R&D food scientists to create unique snacks with a perfect combination of carbs, fiber, protein, healthy fats, and sugar help prevent those unwanted blood sugar spikes and dips.”

It's important to note that while lower in sugar than traditional cookies, Joydays cookies do still are cookies. They certainly aren’t an alternative to a healthy diet and can’t replace fruits and vegetables—but if you’re looking for a “better for you” sweet treat to replace the cookies you usually enjoy, these could be a great option for you.

What do Joydays Cookies Taste Like?

Honestly it was difficult for us to say that these cookies only have 3g of sugar per serving! If we didn’t read the box or website prior to trying these, we would have never known. They have a pleasant sweetness that enhances the individual flavors of each cookie (peanut butter, chocolate chip, or double chocolate) without being too sweet, which is often the trouble with cookie alternatives.

Some reviews that we read online mentioned that the cookies have an unpleasant aftertaste, but we found no such issue even after trying every flavor. The Joydays cookies are perfectly chewy and an ideal texture for eating on their own, soft and super-easy to eat.

Joydays Cookies Varieties and Price

Joydays cookies come in three flavors: chocolate chip, peanut butter, and double chocolate. They are available in bulk boxes or sampler packs, and at the time of writing this review, a box of 36 cookies typically costs around $39.99. Smaller quantities are available for under $30, and a sampler pack is available if you’d like to try all cookies in one box like we did.

This is more expensive than many traditional cookie brands, but we kept in mind that these cookies have additional functional benefits over traditional cookie brands.

Unlike cheaper cookies that are packed with sugar, these have far fewer grams of sugar per serving and as a result won’t lead to spikes and crashes in your blood sugar like other cookies. When comparing the price of these cookies to other functional desserts, these actually are quite reasonable, especially if you’re used to being restricted to certain foods due to diabetes or other medical matters that restrict your diet.

Where to Buy Joydays Cookies

If you’re looking to buy Joydays cookies, they’re available nationwide at nearly 3,000 store locations at the time of this writing.

The two largest retailers currently selling Joydays cookies are Amazon and Walmart, however we like to buy directly from Joydays (and all other small brands) to support their small business and ensure most of our purchase price goes directly to the business.

When you buy direct from Joydays cookies, you’re also eligible for occasional sales and offers that they have on their website, so check out their online shop for any current promotions that they may be running.

Overall Joydays Cookies Review and Impression

Joydays cookies offer a unique option for people who are looking for a lower-sugar cookie that still taste really great. They are lower in sugar than traditional cookies and contain fiber for digestive health and protein. The Joydays cookies are certainly more expensive than regular or traditional cookies, but as mentioned above, their price tag is much more reasonable when you consider them as an alternative to other functional cookies.

If you're curious about Joydays cookies, it might be worth trying a multi-flavor pack first to see if you like the taste and texture before committing to an entire package of one flavor.
